Are you tired of being in constant pain? Do you suffer with PTSD or depression? Have you been noticing problems with memory loss? Do you wish you could get rid of your chronic migraines? You have hope with Braincore Neurofeedback Therapy.

If you suffer with a brain-based condition, neurofeedback therapy may be able to help.

How Does Neurofeedback Work?

Neurofeedback therapy is a workout for your brain. When your brain activity is in a healthy state, the feedback system rewards you by playing a part of a movie or song. This signals to the patient that their brain activity is moving in the right direction. Disorderly brain activity is the reason why some patients will never feel any relief from neck and back pain.

Retraining the Brain

Neurofeedback therapy retrains the way your brain perceives stimulation. But how does this help improve your memory? Good question.

It’s like putting a blindfold on to heighten your other senses. Your brain waves therapy session draws attention to one aspect of brain functionality while suppressing other parts of the brain. This forces the section of the brain being trained to work alone, making it stronger.

Neurofeedback Technology

The great thing about this type of therapy is it is completely non-invasive. Electrodes are placed on your head which gives the computer all the information it needs. Most neurofeedback systems are like a video game. Instead of mashing buttons on a controller, your brain activity is what controls the game.

This makes neurofeedback simple enough for children and adults of any development level to enjoy the benefits of brain retraining.

Do you feel depressed? Depression affects an estimated 16.2 million American adults, which equals 6.7% of the adult population. Many of these people turn to prescription medications to help them cope with daily life. While depression medications may help some, they do so at a cost.

Fortunately, you can fight depression without taking prescription drugs. Braincore Neurofeedback helps people take back their life without swallowing a pill.

Fight Depression with Braincore Neurofeedback

To understand how to stop depression with Braincore Neurofeedback, you need to know the mechanisms at work for causing and treating depression. Let’s first look at the causes of depression.

Causes of Depression

Depression comes from a number of causes, making fighting depression complicated. The causes of depression can include:

  • genetics
  • a chemical imbalance in the brain
  • poor nutrition
  • inadequate sleep
  • environmental stressors
  • illness and other physical health problems
  • prescription drug use and/or drug abuse

Sometimes a mix of circumstances can trigger a bout of depression, making it difficult to pinpoint the exact culprit. However, science reveals that depression occurs when these factors change the frequency of brain signals in the brain.

Our left brain mainly processes logic, sequence, and analysis. The right brain focuses more on intuition and socialization. When an imbalance in the brain patterns occur to amp up our intuition and socialized thinking, we tend to get into our own heads more. Essentially, we think more emotionally and process information based more on feeling rather than fact.

Pair this with our left brain waves slowing, slowing our logical voice, and it opens us up to let our insecurities and fears shape the world around us. To fix depression at its root, we need to balance out our brainwaves.

How to Fight Depression

How do we change our brainwaves?

Braincore Neurofeedback provides a non-invasive, chemical-free way of adjusting the neurotransmissions within the brain. With the use of electrodes, a trained therapist can manipulate the patient’s brainwaves. Research reveals that alpha waves create a relaxed state. Ultimately, they reduce negative thinking and increase innovative though, thus creating a recipe for happiness.

During Braincore Neurofeedback, the electrodes stimulate the activity of alpha waves on the right brain, to relax that side a little. At the same time, the electrodes activate the left side of the brain with waves that increase the activity. This process does not only change the frequency for the moment. It actually trains the person’s brain to produce this more ideal brain pattern as they continue the treatment.

Think about riding a bike or throwing a ball. The first time, you may retain some muscle memory or the task, possibly enough to roughly reproduce it. However, the more you practice, the more accurately you can perform the task. Training your brain with altered brainwaves works similarly.

Is It Safe?

Admittedly, altering brainwaves sounds like something scary that the villain does in a science fiction movie. Rest assured that Neurofeedback is safe and FDA approved to fight depression.

Beat Depression with Braincore Neurofeedback

If you suffer from depression, then take control of the battle. Stop turning to chemicals that can cause further harm to your body and psyche. Fight depression with Braincore Neurofeedback. Contact us today to start your therapy and turn your life around!

Over 6% of children have been diagnosed with ADHD by the time they’re seven years old. But pushing your child full of ADHD medications isn’t always the best way to handle treatment. If you’re looking for a drug-free option for your child, you’re in luck.

Keep reading to learn how neurofeedback therapy can be a valuable treatment method for anyone struggling with ADHD.

What Is Neurofeedback?

Your brain produces five different types of electrical signals. Each of these signals, called alpha waves, beta waves, gamma waves, delta waves, and theta waves, cycle at varying frequencies. These electrical waves make up the basis of neurofeedback. People with ADHD have too many theta waves and not enough beta waves. This is what causes ADHD symptoms.

Brain function is linked to behavior. When a person’s behavior changes, so does their brain function. When a person has a shift in their brain function, their behavior alters as well. Neurofeedback changes the symptoms of ADHD by changing the brain function. And they do this by accounting for the differences in brain waves.

By using an electroencephalograph (or EEG) device, neurofeedback can measure each of your brain’s electrical signals. This allows the neurofeedback provider to watch an ongoing screen printout of the patient’s brain waves during the session. Depending on the brain waves, the provider will instruct the patient to perform different tasks. These tasks might be matched with sounds or other stimuli to help the brain process the information in a new way. This can interrupt or change brain function.

Neurofeedback therapy allows a patient to change their beta and theta waves over an extended period of time. As these change, the symptoms of ADHD improve.

Does This Neurofeedback Therapy Help ADHD?

Neurofeedback as a treatment for ADHD is a relatively new science. Because of this, the research is limited. However, according to some results of this research, neurofeedback therapy does appear to reduce symptoms of ADHD. It’s important to remember that the effectiveness of this treatment can vary for each person. In general, neurofeedback therapy does provide a treatment option for people with ADHD that can relieve symptoms.

How to Choose Neurofeedback for ADHD Treatment

If other ADHD treatments aren’t working for you or your child, neurofeedback therapy may be able to help. It’s also a good route to choose if you want to avoid giving your child a lot of medication.

For more information on neurofeedback treatment for ADHD, schedule an appointment with our doctors to see if neurofeedback is right for you or your child.

what is neuropathy

Understanding Peripheral Neuropathy

In order to understand Peripheral Neuropathy, we must first look to its name. Peripheral – in this case refers to “beyond the brain.” Neuropathy – meaning a disease having to do with nerve damage. Peripheral Neuropathy refers to the disease in which nerves that run to the brain and spinal cord from the rest of the body are damaged or ineffective. Over 20 million people in the United States suffer from this nerve-debilitating disease. Because of this, it is important to focus on the symptoms and treatment options that are available for Neuropathy patients.

Symptoms of Neuropathy

Because of the damaged nerves, it is common for someone who suffers from Neuropathy to experience numbness, tingling, or loss of sensation in the hands or feet. Damaged nerve pathways can cause feet to go numb making it difficult to walk, resulting in falls.. Other common symptoms of Neuropathy may include:

  • burning/tingling sensation in hands or feet
  • loss of balance or coordination
  • restless Leg Syndrome
  • extreme sensitivity to touch

If left untreated, Peripheral Neuropathy can worsen over time, and in some extreme cases, the only option is amputation. It is estimated that each year, over 86,000 patients must undergo amputations caused by uncontrolled Neuropathy.

If you are experiencing any of the above symptoms, don’t leave it untreated any longer! Early detection and treatment can make all the difference in the world. There is no reason to put off seeking help for this very serious, nerve-debilitating disease.

Causes of Neuropathy

There are a number of causes of Neuropathy including chemotherapy, alcoholism, spinal stenosis, prescription drugs, war toxins, herniated discs and more. Neuropathy results in lack of blood and oxygen levels in the hands and feet. In order to fight this disease, The Villages Chiropractor, Dr. Jason Davis of the Davis Clinic of Chiropractic, has developed a way to naturally increase the levels of nitric oxide in the blood stream, which increases blood flow and circulation in the body, naturally relieving the pain and symptoms of Neuropathy, without the use of harmful painkillers.

It's Your Turn for Pain Relief

Since ringing in the new year a few days ago, I’ve reflected on the year we’ve left behind. Over the past year, my team of doctors and staff have helped patients around The Villages, Florida who were suffering with chronic back pain, neck pain, neuropathy, herniated discs, sciatica, numb feet, facet syndrome and other conditions.

When patients came into our chiropractic clinic, some of them were using a cane or walker, or needed assistance from a loved one. They couldn’t stand or sit for long periods of time. Their lives had become a myriad of pain medications, MRI’s and trips to the doctor. Many of them had tried traditional chiropractic adjustments, spinal injections, and countless medications with little to no success. We also saw patients who had failed back surgery or were told that surgery was their only option. They had tried it all yet they were still in pain!

They came to Davis Clinic of Chiropractic looking for help, and for many of them, this was their last stop. After treatment with the DRS Protocol for neck and back pain conditions or with the Drug-Free Neuropathy Treatment Protocol, we saw their lives change! They no longer needed help walking. They were able to perform the daily tasks that most of us take for granted such as tying their shoes, driving, or picking up their kids or grandkids. They were able to start enjoying life again and participating in the hobbies they thought they would never be able to do again.

I am thrilled that we have been able to help so many people get back to an active, pain-free life. What an amazing year 2014 was! Now, it’s your turn! Do You Suffer With Chronic Pain in The Villages, FL?

Chronic pain treatment The Villages, FLAlmost half of all Americans suffer from chronic pain. This is pain that lasts longer than six months, and can vary in intensity from mild to agonizing, and can be physically debilitating.

Chronic Pain Symptoms

The pain can take the form of headaches, joint pain, muscle or nerve pain, sinus pain, and many others. There’s an emotional price to pay also resulting in depression, anger, and fatigue, and even other serious physical problems such as suppressed immune systems.

Pain medications and procedures such as nerve blocks may be used to ease chronic pain, but do nothing to remove the source of the problem. So why not fix what’s wrong and eliminate the pain once and for good?

One big problem is that sufferers don’t always know the source of the problem. Consider a burnt finger. You know you got it by touching your finger to a hot stove, so you know what it is, and how to treat it. Also, a burnt finger will heal over time, whereas most chronic pain is caused by problems that won’t heal quickly if ever.

Lower back pain, for example, could be caused by injured discs in your spine where the problem developed over years of, for example, a repetitive movement at work, or from a car accident that happened a few years ago. It may not be easy to put a cause and effect to the pain. Diagnosing pain has always been hard for doctors to do well because there aren’t many tests or procedures that can show exactly why a person is in constant pain.

Still, this isn’t a reason to give up and just take powerful pain killing drugs the rest of your life, or go through surgery just find out the pain either didn’t go away, or came back within a few years.

Fortunately, there are doctors, like Dr Jason Davis of the Davis Clinic of Chiropractic, in The Villages, FL, who deal with their patient’s chronic pain day in and day out and what they have learned helping others, can work for you. Neuropathy treatment Patient Review Davis Clinic of Chiropractic

Mr. Bowman Found Relief from Neuropathy Pain

Before coming to Davis Clinic of Chiropractic in The Villages, Florida, for Neuropathy treatment, Mr. Bowman suffered with Neuropathy pain for years. His feet were numb and he had tingling and sharp pains down his legs.

“Today I feel real good. When I first started I couldn’t feel anything at the bottom of my feet. I couldn’t feel the carpet. Now, I can walk on my Berber carpet at home and if there are any crumbs, I can feel those and find them, where as before I couldn’t feel them. As far as my legs go, it felt like thousands of needles jabbing them. Now, that is gone. I feel a little unbalanced walking, but otherwise I feel 100% better than I did when I came in here. I’m glad you could do something for me.”
